So there I was…

Standing in the Kitchen, first thing on a Saturday morning, when in walks my six-year-old, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

“How adorable,” I thought, “Here she comes for some morning cuddles.”

Then, came her first words of the day: “Good morning, Mommy! I love you so much.”

         NOPE.

As much as I wanted those to be her first words of the day, they were not. So what did she say?

“What’s for Breakfast, Mom?”

And so it began, another day started with the age-old question: “What’s for Breakfast? …Lunch? …Dinner? …Snack?”

Question answered. Problem solved.

Fed up with these questions, I decided to work on an answer. And, the answer for our family – and yours – is this:

It’s usually the first question of the day around our house. It’s a question my husband and I used to hate to answer.

Not anymore.
